Dacia Sondero........... :) or :(

Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on this car. Cheap no frills shopping trolly or a hideous skip? In the cheap new car category, what would people buy in the sub £8k category?

It's Romanian made, by Renault/Nissan Group who owns Dacia. It's very popular in Romania, so is the Dacia Duster which I drove myself off road in places where the water was about 50-60cm deep and did extremely well, while on A roads and town roads was very comfortable.

On the subject, am I the only person who didn't know that Dacia was pronounced Datcher until I saw the TV ad?

In fact, except for the new Estate car I quite like the whole range. I'm thinking of replacing the wife's Megane with a Duster next year.

Interesting views. I did consider getting one as a shopping trolley for my wife but no dealer had a base Sondero to test drive which put me off. Although Dacia have a base car the delears make little money selling them so they want to sell you a higher spec one. Have ordered a Hyundai i10 instead! Lol!
