Please excuse my ignorance, but i saw the following for sale.

 

D1 Spec v3 Throttle Controller

 

What does it do?

Puts a smile on your face on sports 7 and saves a minute bit of fuel in eco mode but basically allows you to sharpen or soften your throttle response on accelerator pedal,ive got one best bit of kit i bought

If I were to Uprev the car to improve throttle response etc would a D1 still be able to do it's job?

Absolutely, I have the UpRev and I love the D1! As soon as you stick it on SP9 it's a totally different car, BIG SMILE all over until you flick it back to EC7

These things seem to go in cycles, 2 years ago they were all over the forum I had one fitted before I had the uprev, personally I found the improved throttle response gains from the uprev satisfactory so I sold the D1, each to their own though

I remember when Leon from Ep fitted one to his car when I had my first zed but couldn't remember if it actually did anything or was a gimmick lol

I always drive mine in eco5 mode to and from work as I guess it saves fuel...

 

Sp7 mode (I only have the V1) makes the car seem totally different. Looking at the readout, the smallest application of throttle sp7 does is 40%.

 

It just makes acceleration seem faster I think up rev is better long term though.

Massive fun and I would have kept mine if I didn't have plans for the ODB2 port (Which it uses for power).

Can hardwire it in like me then free up your port took power from radio then just grounded it,make sure you ground it somewhere good unlike me so in cold weather it doesn't have it and car wont start, unplug it and car turns over fine,only happens in really cold weather though, which is like everyday lol that was a fun day trying to figure that one out

You can of course take the power needed from the rear of the obd port.

 

I'd just be very careful doing that!
