Thinking of selling

After 2 glorious years of being a zed owner I might be forced to sell the car as I'm looking at buying a house. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to let me know what my car is worth if sold private, roughly.

The car is modified and I think I'd be selling the LMGT4's separately as well as removing the rear spoiler and rear bumper but wondered what it would be worth as is and slightly more standard. I would be leaving the Nismo V2 front bumper replica on as the original one is peppered with stone chips.

350z Floor Mats

Nismo 380RS Pedal

Original Front Bumper

I was thinking around £8000 without the LMGT4's, is that asking too much? I'm in no massive rush to sell and expect morons offering their Corsa if it goes on AutoTrader.

Yes! It's been remapped and on the rollers twice. Currently running 302bhp which was after the HFCs were added. Both times at RS Tuning in Leeds and I have print outs.

Is it worth advertising as is or removing the spoiler/bumper first? Not sure if advertising as is then re-advertising without the spoiler and rear bumper might out people off.

Sorry to hear your thinking os selling :console:

Love the way it looks now B)

I would be temped to put it up as it is for a price your willing to accept, you never know you may get a bite or two, and would save you having to take everything off. Failing that back to OEM as much as possible and sell the parts separately.

8.5K as it is or 6K-6.5K OEM

Sorry to see you're thinking of selling Tom. I've watched your car evolve with interest.

If you did decide to remove a few bit n' pieces, I'd be very interested in your skirts

Best of luck with whichever route you take mate.

Forgot to add that it has full service history at Nissan garages or specialists and the most recent service was P3 in December where I even had all the spark plugs changed so it really won't need anything for a good couple of years, except for the minor P1 service in December!

Think I might try advertising as is for £8500 and if there's no interest in 8-12 weeks ill start stripping it back to OEM.

I didn't think it would take long for people's interest in the wheels to be known ;)

What's a set of Rays worth with decent tread on tyres? Think one of the wheels has slight bubbling but no kerbing, £500?

After having thoroughly scouring the classifieds for the last four weeks or so what has been apparent to me is cars that have sold and ones that keep being relisted/readvertised. Unfortunately the ones i have seen sell are the well priced ones and that is usually the cheaper ones.

As it is really easy to see with ebay, over the last four/five weeks it has 140+ cars advertised at any one time. So plenty of choice. Anything modified, no matter how nice, is going to be individual when it comes to tastes, so your narrowing your audience straight away and if its top dollar, its even less of an audience. Sad as it is to say, modifications dont add to making the car more valuable or necessarily more desirable.

If i were in your position, providing you have the standard parts, i would give yourself a time scale of selling as is and if you dont receive a offer your prepared to accept in that time, put it back to standard and top up the coffers with sales of parts. You will also be able to gauge how much interest you have, if your getting lots of enquiries it may be worth holding out a bit longer, if you dont, you know it will unlikely sell as is.

Looking on AT and PH it seems 2004-2005 with under 50,000 miles are going for anywhere between £7-9000 realistically. I do wonder how long some of those have been up for sale though as £9000 for what looks like an OEM zed seems a bit far fetched!

I sold my last car (Audi TT) and last motorbike (Ducati 748) on eBay as a classified ad. Think it was £19.99 for a 28 day listing, which ain't bad for a globally known site with a very high number of users/visitors.

Put a good, honest description, plenty of photos and set a realistic price, with a 'best offer' option and both car and bike sold within a week. I had an offer of a deposit on one after 3 days!

As said above, just ignore the idiots. You can set an automatic decline on any offers made below a certain value, so you won't have to bother with those anyway.
