I've always known the metal cross panel where the release mechanism is bolted as the 'slam panel', hence I'm also one who drops it from about a foot.

 

A mate (many years ago) ably demonstrated why 'positive engagement' was A Good Thing when he carefully pressed his bonnet home, heard it 'click' and set off down a motorway slip road. He'd not cracked 60 before it released...

 

Was he driving a reliant robin? Difficult to crack 60 though mind.

Exactly it's certainly not know as the

 

'gently push down with the palm of your hand until the catch engages panel'

I close gently and push closed, then secure the Aerocatches :)

 

what are the point of aerocatches?

They catch Aero chocolate bars people randomly throw at me

 

YUM I'd get it for that and the diabetes alone.
