HEADPHONES Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Anybody used the uprated ones yet..as I need a pair. ? I got updated ones in 2007. They were thicker than my OEM ones and are still holding up....just. When it was -3 deg they started to struggle a bit but are fine now we are around 4 deg. Got mine under warranty so not sure about the advertised ones. Quote
WhackyWill Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Thanks Headphones.. Mine is OK when warm, but its got a Nismo spoiler fitted which is a bit heavy other option is to remove the boot weight.. Quote
HEADPHONES Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Thanks Headphones.. Mine is OK when warm, but its got a Nismo spoiler fitted which is a bit heavy other option is to remove the boot weight.. My uprated ones cope with my Nismo spoiler down to about zero degrees. For the first few years they were even OK well below zero........c'est la vie:( Quote
Guest Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I went to SGS whilst passing cause had same problem when fitted boot spoiler. Lasted a few weeks now not so good, will probably ask them to add a few more psi next time passing. Quote
KyleR Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I bought and fitted the updated sgs ones last week, one nearly holds the boot up on its own. They look much thinner than the oem ones but do the job we'll, so far. I've no spoiler as of yet fitted, but have a carbon nismo v1 style to fit, hopefully they'll last. Quote
WhackyWill Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Been told to remove the counter weight in the boot lid and then that should be Ok with the spoiler fitted. Quote
rothers2901 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Remove the counter weight, then get SGS to up grade the struts to 400 NM, Job done mine has lasted for te past 3 years and still ok. Quote
wackosr Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Anyone tried to re-gas their original ones? Just thinking about connecting a high pressure shock pump and topping them up? Quote
