jimbo370z Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Taking my black limited edition in for its 2 nd service tomorrow, quoted me £ 299. Is that good or should I put on the hard bargain hat!? Appreciate your thoughts Quote
Will370z Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Dont forget to take your own oil in to save some cash and ensure they put the proper stuff in Quote
glrnet Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Where are you based, who's the quote from? Dealer or Indy? Quote

A common misconception that all dealers would like us to believe. You can get your car serviced at any VAT registered garage and manufacturers have to honour the warranty (provide approved parts have been used in the services) Quote
Will370z Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Bad assumption by me then, thanks for the information guys Quote

jimbo370z Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Thanks for the info guys! Yeah that quote is with Nissan dealer in Chelmsford, they first tried to charge me £399 but I told them they don't need to do oil change or filter as I've already done it so they dropped a £100 lol cheeky buggers! mbs Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Had my P2 done last month - £196 inc VAT. Use an indy who is Nissan Authorised, uses all Nissan parts etc so no problem with warranty. Also a trader on here - Atkins666. Quote
jimbo370z Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Cool, will keep that in mind for p3 service as its done now and have got her back finally! Thanks again for all the info guys! Quote

Rob Gaskin Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Has anybody ever had a P3 service on a 370Z. If so what was different than the P2 and did it cost anymore? When you look at the service schedules and see the labour charges it doesn't make sense, outrageous. I hate having my car serviced (very capable of doing it myself) but whoever buys my car will expect the Nissan Stamp and so it may be false economy. Quote

The nissan default quote i assume I wonder what Tom at TGM would charge Still under the nissan warranty so it needs to be an official nissan garage im afraid. As many people said before me: Lots of people doesn't know this is not the case. Under EU Block Exemption rules, using Nissans parts and investing in the correct diagnostic equipment means that Nissan owners can choose to use an independent specialist such as ourselves without affecting their UK warranty and that's the fact.(Company has to be VAT registered and showing Genuine parts numbers on the VAT invoice to be correct.) And IMO £250 for the second service(Engine oil,oil filter and brakefluid with a check over 1.7 hours labour) is a robbery. I offering the same service with Mobil 1 oil and genuine parts for 120 inc VAT and it will not affect your warranty. Quote

If you come down I can do your seat FOC of course. Regards Sly. Quote
