if its a performance part and its made for porsche its 3 or 4 times the price of what it should be. its the same with jaguar, and i'd bet its the same with all prestige performance cars. general aftermarket consensus is if you can afford a prestige car you can afford to pay presitige prices

Cayman.......no contest. Itch scratched of owning a porker, I'm one of the few who think the Caymen is the best looking porker, fast, economical(ish), nice place to be, proper coupe.

 

BMW M3 - you get the nod from Saxo drivers, 3 series with bits stuck on visually, hate hate hate the sound of BMW straight 6's (is it still a 6 or has it gone V8?), people hate you, children hate you, animals hate you........ your family - they don't like you much either.

I personally think both cars are far to sensible for a weekend car. It's also a lot of money sitting on the drive doing nothing but losing money. A couple of k a year maybe? I couldn't do that but then if you have the money why not I suppose. I still think the 996 turbo or gt3 would cost you less. There is a specialist in Shotts. Depreciation is quite low on them.
