And until yesterday I had the less desirable heavy round ones

 

But …as of today:

 

I have more aural pleasure

My chamber has been enlarged

My emissions come out more quickly

When I push down it’s smoother

And I get more response!

Plus it’s all legal

Thanks Chaps - its great (Berks HFCs, Milltek CBE, Plenum Spacer, Uprev - with JWT PC already on).

 

Everything SMD and Will said is true. It isn't just about numbers - more consistent throttle response and fuelling particularly noticeable in lower gears, more torque throughout the range - just more responsive all round. Noise - subtle when you need it - noisy when you want it but nice noisy not horrible noisy.

There is always the danger you will be disappointed because your expectations are so high - hence why I checked it all out with SMD first.

 

I am reasonably certain now that I am staying with the 350Z for a long time. The last time I felt like this about a fun car was when I had an Alfasud Ti (although there is no obvious comparison!) That was the only car I have had for more than 3 years (with the exception of the day-to-day old Toyota Corolla auto which is now 19 years old).

 

Only future plans are HEL/HKS lines and probably Eibach or similar ARBs. It is unlikely that I will go with any cosmetic stuff - I can't really justify the cost.

You should have seen us when I took him for a little drive in my car.... 2 grown men with a combined age of over 100 driving through a covered car park giggling like schoolgirls at the sound of the engine & exhaust

 

350z + milltek + berks + pop charger is the equivalent of a lovely red velvet smoking jacket for us older members

My reputation is being besmirched with talk about:

- age (I was around 60% of the combined age quoted).
