Hi Guys

I know I only joined this forum a few weeks ago. And I've had an absolute nightmare. Ive managed to crash my 350z into my MR2 turbo! What a nightmate, I deffinately need a new front bumper offside winf and offside headlight. My car is GM where do you think I should source these parts, and what do you think the estimated cost is?

Im absolutely distraught but im trying to keep my head high and get it sorted.

Thank you in advance

Sam

PS It wasnt doing anything stupid, pulling out of a junction on a fast A road and my dad in my MR2 in front went to go so I looked right, and went to go and then he stalled so I drove up the back of him.

Thanks Zmanalex i've heard alot of good things about you, hows best to get in contact, phone call on Monday morning?

There is a little button on Alex's posts, PM, click that and send a message over, be as explicit as possible about what you need etc

Chin up about the car though mate, all can be repaired, maybe take the opportunity to upgrade a few bits... ;) have a look through the for sale section on here.

Gosh, what a nightmare :scare: . I always thought that bumpers were supposed to deform in low speed crashes but it seems that The Zed just falls apart. Someone ran into the back of my Escort Turbo at at least 10mph a few years ago and the rear bumper did its job and just sprung back into shape, only damage was a small crease in the boot. Anyway, hope you get it sorted soon.

I wondered if anyone could help, since the accident, the heater and dials do not seem to be working and possible other electrics, what could this be other than the fuses? It was Offside front damage at about 5 mph so the chassis and engine etc all seem fine.

Thanks

Sam

There is a part of the wiring loom that runs across the bottom of the radiator support panel behind the bumper as well as in the headlight area. Just check that part of it hasn't been damaged causing a short circuit and blown a fuse. These would need repairing otherwise the fuse will keep blowing.

Thanks for the support guys, yes I didnt ever consider going through insurance as I'm young an would regret it for a fair few years to come!

Of all people, I trusted my dad to pull out, however he was driving my MR2 turbo and hadnt really driven it before.

I have no power to fuses 8 and 9, and ideas? I have no blower, washer jets, dials. Horn and alarm work, wipers work.

Struggling to work out how a bang to the front end could cause so much havock with the electrics.

Hopefully she will be back to her former glory ASAP :D
