Flex Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 FINALLY! http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/morrisons-offers-15p-off-in-petrol-price-war.html Hopefully they'll start to reduce prices instead of making you spend £60 first but obviously they want you spending in store! I reckon Tesco will just match it. Quote

rabbitstew Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Thank god. Im spending £400 a month easily just on fuel atm getting to work & back. Im guessing there must be a maximum limit you can use at one time on this offer tho, else id get a load of jerry cans and fill them up to make the most of it. Not sure I fancy spending £60 in morrisons twice a week just to get some money off each time i fill up. Quote
spursmaddave Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Does Morrisons not only stock 95 ron? Yeah iv'e never seen a Morrisons with Super I usually fill my soot chucker up there but was too tempting today so filled the Zed up for £1.15 a ltr Quote
KC350Z Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 At tesco spend £50 get 7p off a and they sell 99ron Quote
spursmaddave Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 At tesco spend £50 get 7p off a and they sell 99ron Fair enough, but I find when Tesco do a 'deal' their prices always go up  I think this is only the 2nd time in 30k than anything under 97 has gone in so I will take a chance... not much chance of 5k rev+ action on the A2 or M25 anyway Quote
KC350Z Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 You could always rev the ass off it in the traffic jam tesco by me was 1.38 so 7p off makes it ok might only be a limited offer tho so get it why i can Quote

manphibian Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 It's rubbish fuel though :/ I used my 10p per litre voucher today from spending £50 in Tesco, saved me £5.60 on a tank of Momentum Quote

bronzee Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Surely by buying into the discounted fuel, you're buying into the artificially inflated price of petrol. Just think if they didn't inflate it to cover the discount, every single thing you buy would be cheaper. Quote

We are used to it in the UK, nobody has bought a sofa for 20 years that wasn't 'half the original price' Quote

Not shopped there for a while either and I was quite surprised by their prices.... in a good way I certainly wouldn't keep filling the Zed up with cheapo fuel but their diesel will do the Leon fine if they keep their prices down. Didn't they lead the price war a few years back? Quote
