G1en Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Wow. Some serious work going in there. Will you need a pilots licence for that wing? Quote
evilscorp Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 (edited) Pathfinder cooling mod needed for the sleeved block? some serious kit there. Also why did they only opt to upgrade the exhaust valves not the intake ones? Edited January 28, 2017 by evilscorp Quote
Flashback Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Wow that's looking awesome, I remember you putting the TTs on last March when you guys looked after my rust bucket and made it drive nicely again. Fingers crossed you can get it on track soon. Quote
Jez @ H-Dev Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Yum looks awesome! Thanks - can't wait to get it running Wow. Some serious work going in there. Will you need a pilots licence for that wing? LOL - getting the aero at the front right to balance the car is going to be tricky. Hope we can get it to work well. Pathfinder cooling mod needed for the sleeved block? some serious kit there. Also why did they only opt to upgrade the exhaust valves not the intake ones? Block isn't sleeved but I've gone for the patherfinder coolant setup. I think I should have converted to the HR coolant routing though - my main worry at the mo is that it'll over heat. I upgraded the exhaust valve only because they're the ones that get hammered by exhaust gasses that carry a lot more energy when turboing. Most turbo engines run either inconel or sodium filled valves so thought I should too. Wow that's looking awesome, I remember you putting the TTs on last March when you guys looked after my rust bucket and made it drive nicely again. Fingers crossed you can get it on track soon. I'm looking forward to it too 1 Quote
Flashback Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 How fast do you think you can get it going sideways? 😀 Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk Quote
Jez @ H-Dev Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Not very fast at all - I can't drift. Quote
Keyser Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Nice work Jez - that should be fun on track : If I get the Radical done we can have a shake down run together with them at castle combe Quote
Jez @ H-Dev Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Good idea - if you're not lapping me you're not trying 1 Quote
Keyser Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Good idea - if you're not lapping me you're not trying I've seen you drive - I'll be happy to stay with you Mind you with all that rear wing you may have more aero than me Quote
evilscorp Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Did you some how convert it to a closed deck block then or is it a metal headgasket that blends in so well my eyes are fooled? Nice work btw Quote
Jez @ H-Dev Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 We modified the block to closed deck. Hopefully it'll help keep the bores from moving about. 1 Quote
