Chester Posted September 19, 2011 Share Posted September 19, 2011 Hi guys. I'm from Peterborough and my current Z has only just been released this year and only has 2 wheels! Yes, it's a Z1000SX in ebony. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about moving away from a sports bike to something a little more comfortable, yet still looks the part and can get a move on. So why am I here? Wrong kind of forum surely?! Well I currently drive a Seat Leon Cupra, but am on the trail of a 350Z right now. If everything goes well, I'm hoping to pick it up on Saturday. More details on the actual car if/when I get it, but suffice to say it does have the GT pack. I was really after something that's going to be exciting to drive during all seasons when the bike doesn't come out much at all. Without throwing huge sums of money at a newer car, this has the kind of performance I'm after, and yet isn't going to cost horrific amounts of money to run, albeit about another 45% on top of what my Leon is currently costing me. I think for the rewards that the car potentially can offer the driver, it's most definitely worth it. Bear in mind that a good friend of mine drives a Mitsubishi GTO 3.5 twin turbo MR, and yes it's 170+ MPH, but it's also 17 MPG on a run! Crazy. I can't imagine that's it's going to be any more fun than this realistically. I've been looking around here for a few weeks now so decided to join as there's a lot of useful stuff here and knowledgeable people. Go easy on me as I haven't even driven one of these babies yet, but I've already been riding fast bikes for years so it should be quite easy to drive once I've got used to how Nissan set them up. Still pop back there every so often, so may see you about. In fact I was back there last weekend getting some bits from Millfield Autos! When I was looking for a zed earlier in the year, there was a garage in Stanground next to the fishing tackle shop / Sheltons, which had 3 zeds for sale! It looked like the specialisted in the more upmarket cars as they had mercs, porsches, m3`s and that kinda stuff. Might be worth checking them out. :EDIT: Oh, and im also a biker too.
