Looking to buy a 350Z...

Hi everyone,

new to the forum and will hopefully be buying a 350z early this week. Just read the buying guide in the FAQ's but wondered if there was anything to specifically look for in an import? and what everyones view on imports are?

Seen this advertised close to where I live by a garage who specialise in Jap cars and imports:

http://www.esperformance.co.uk/car_350z ... _index.php

Spoke to him earlier and he said the car has covered 55k miles and that he has all original paperwork, all MOT's, both keys and its fully serviced. Although I did just read that the service around the 55k mark is a biggie so will have to check to see if thats been done.

What do people think, is it worth a look?

Thank, Keiran

Hi & Welcome,

There are plenty of great examples for sale on this forum, you may well be better buying from here as you will have honest comments on cars that you

buy from here, what you don't actually know is what you are buying from a dealer, regardless of what B.S. they tell you.

they are no different except cost of insurance really

obviously the clocks will be in KMH but they all should be changed to work in MPH

and the plate size on the rear bumper!

apart from that iv had an import and a UK car and there are no differences. perform the same, drive the same, look the same minus the plate

i wouldnt let it being an import put me off i know loads of friends with imports all of which are 100% fine

aslong as you check the car over and take it for a drive and it is all ok (i havent seen the car so i cant tell you anymore than this obv)

welcome to the forum too

Kieran - the car you're looking at appears ok. However - judging by the description the seller doesn't know their zeds so that in itself would put me off

Described as having GT pack... no such thing on a JDM

Described as having cruise control...
