taras Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 Doubtful we'll make one specific for the Z but if it helps we can can cut if down for size for you ant an added cost as we do have Nismo bumpers here? Everything cracks if you hit a kerb. You shouldn't worry about strength because though made of fibreglass it still takes some beatings from rocks and scraping. The APR ones are carbon skinned surface and rubber trim at the front designed for aesthetics not strength. Even they will shatter if you hit a kerb. The difference is your wallet is going to hurt more when it happens. looks good, is that the design option three then? We went for option 4. Quote
Neilp Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Sorry mate I replied before I got the email from ray i've emailed back. I'm interested in the wings Quote
MrLizard Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Thanks but we've spent enough money on R&D and passed that now. They're ready for production if you're interested in buying one? got your PM Neil. Sending you some pics. potentially interested, looked at this and the apr one, needs to make some difference to me so i would be interested in hearing from someone using it on a 350z on track as to what they think. ta Quote
andlid Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 MrLizard, you'll go on, be the first and stick up a review Quote

andlid Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 after almost 4 years Im still thinking on getting this part some personal things has kinda halted procuring one (also physical location and the mad shipping has been prohibited, hate giving postage services monies) Anyway, anyone on here got one and can shed some light on what they think of the product? Anyone has a good wing to match the added downforce up front? In the process of selling my Zspeed tray so once thats gone I'm planning to buy one Quote
veilside z Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Looks great, however I don't run an under tray of any description. Best of luck with the sales Quote
veilside z Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 The Swan neck one is better with two arms, that fits through the rear bumper each side of the number plate and bolts directly on to the rear bumper reinforcer. Quote
fake ben taylor Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Interested ro see how its mounted, frp will be very easily amashed though on track and its a lot of money to replace Quote
andlid Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hmm did nobody get this for their Z yet, would be rude not to try it out Quote
Jetpilot Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Hmm did nobody get this for their Z yet, would be rude not to try it out I would imagine the cost of £280 for what is effectively a flat piece of grp with some channels/ducts in and not zed specific probably put people off. I know some cad models were done but think it was priced in line with the Apr one and in reality you could achieve a similar results with a sheet of £15 ply as per what Ben has done, check out his build thread. Saying that i would have ordered one if the price was right Edited January 26, 2016 by Jetpilot Quote
fake ben taylor Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I would have as well lol Mark2 splitter is planned to involve channels Quote
fake ben taylor Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I am now in contact with a guy that makes kevlar sump guards for rally cars etx so could ask for a price? Quote
Jetpilot Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Kevlar is usually pricey but i wont say no if its sub £200 Quote
fake ben taylor Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Ai carbon is as well but its a struggle finding another material where you can get the 'tunnels'. Quote
fake ben taylor Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 What chubby minja said lol Any little knock and it would crack/smash Quote
Jetpilot Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Metal skid plate on the bottom? rt one is pretty much the same in frp Quote
fake ben taylor Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Metal skid is weight and may as well make it out of metal in that instance. Alumalite is a good option if we can find a decent uk supplier - its two ally skins with a plastic core between them Quote
