Guys - I fail to see why this is such a HOT deal ...The same kit is available from Argos or CPC for the same price or just over?

Yeah bud i think everyon dropped there prices around the same time.

But i would still snap it up while you can, as i have been looking into pressure washers for a few months now, and these are better then the £150 kercher ones (apparently) and more reliable(apparently) and to find a pressure washer under £100 is a rarety.

Ordered mine Sunday night and received it today. Have to say it's a great bit of kit. Gave it a quick blast and it seems great! Just need to get a snow foam lance now :teeth:

Lol just got mine aswell, set it up and gave it a blast, i got my snow lance and juice from the link i sent aswell, and all looks great, cant wait till friday lol!

I tested the pressure washer by blasting the patio thinking it didnt seem very powerfull, then all of a sudden i looked down to see a clear clean strip..."wooops!" i say to myself as i hear the mrs coming from behind, lol luckly i fessed up and had a "blast" cleaning a few of the patio stones....great fun.

Only question though, is it seemed way to powerfull to clean car with, so which fitting do i use for that? this was like a concentrated burst is there one that does some sort of wide spray or is the concentrated burst ok? wont rip off the paint?!

Yeah it was more powerful than I was expecting too! I have a slight confession actually. After I gave it the first blast I might have accidentally said quite loudly "it's like a gun... IT'S LIKE A GUN!!!!!!!!"

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, probably best not to blast the cars paint with full power. I'd use the wide spray attachment and use it at a reasonable distance so it's not too harsh.

Can't remember which one it was now, but there's only two nozzles. One direct jet and one wide spray. Just try them out

Just had a quick play with mine today, seems good. Envy foam gun is a hoot  Whats the preferred mix setting anyway? It goes all the way from "milky" to, er, "porn star"!

lol i havent tried my foam gun yet, i read that you should put around 1-2inches of solution in the bottom, add hot water

Then adjust the knobs on top and infront to make it thick foam rather then watery foam!

Got mine out today, i found it snow foamed a dream with the attachment i had, however i must admit i didnt find the clean very good.

But on the other hand i must admit i didnt leave the foam on for very long, (i got impatient) and i have since heard you shoudl leave it 15 mins minimum to get a decent effect.

Also like a tard i tried to chami it dry but as it wasnt clean it made a bit of a smudgy mess, so i really need to clean next weekend and leave it properly long time!

I bought my old man one of these, much better for cars than my Karcher one as this one leave the stickers and badges in place as not quite so powerful

Can't go wrong for that money and comes with accessory bottle for foam and quick fittings for the hose

Bargain :yahoo:

First pressure washer I've had but how the heck do you get the hoses to stay on? Soon as I turn the outdoor tap on and turn the washer on and pull the trigger the hose just pops off one or both ends.

The hose is connected to a pair of threaded connectors that were a struggle to get into the hose but popped off in no time!

i always find that snow foam attachments that come supplied with pressure washer kits never have the pressure to create the true foam that many drive in car wash garages do... that thick stuff that hardly moves when its on the car... its like a dodgey porno! :D

You probably need new connectors mate, one of mine was really old and it couldn't muster the spring to stay on. Get some proper Hozelock fittings

What a chump I am. Bought the fittings for the tap and pressure washer but was connecting straight hose. Bought some brass fittings to the hose and works now.

Just so I'm not being thick, quite probably:

Plug everything in.

Turn tap on, a bit? a lot?

Turn pressure washer on

Spray away

When you're not spraying should water be coming out of the hose where it connects to the tap and pressure washer?

Thanks :D

Connect everything up, turn tap on, turn PW on at wall, turn PW on at unit. The pump will then cycle water through the PW hose and then your ready to rock and roll!

The hose connector goes on the front of this unit, it screws on and then the hose should have another connecter that will clip onto the PW one, give it a decent push and it will make an audible click. The PW hose (the thinner black one) has a fitting that needs to be properly pushed in, again it will feel like it clicks into place and then the screw bit goes around it to help hold it in place. Neither end should really leak any water.

Make sure the tap is turned all the way on up to full pressure.

Enjoy!

  • 2 months later...

Any reviews on these pressure washers? Probably going to invest in the next week or so, only want something cheap around the £50 mark, which is also small and easy to put away, will something like this do?

Im thinking more power isn't necessarily a good thing if I am using it on the car?
