advancedme Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 Crank and pistons installed today. Not the easiest when you get to this size of bore! pistons tip quite easily.... Anyway. Went relatively smooth except for the rod bolts hitting the new crank girdle :-( only about 1mm of interference and only three of the rods touch but still. The brace will have to come off for measuring the big end clearances and rod bolt stretch anyway so not a huge prob. Please see new pics below :-) Quote

Not happy with the feel and stretch of the rod bolts (They may have been on the over torqued side when first built) so have ordered a new set of bolts from ARP. We just cant take chances on a 1000bhp build! Quote
