I really wanted to ditch the front number plate holder also but after researching on here I discovered that this would leave 2 holes in my front bumper which would then need filling, painting etc.

 

So I can see why Sam has attached his in this location.......well I presume this is the reasoning!!!

Its actually better to have no numberplate at all rather than to try and get away with a smaller one.

 

Never got pulled in the 7/8 months I ran without it. Even if did i was always on the way to halfords to pick up some sticky pads after the bodyshop took it off / it fell off / just taken my private plate off / old one snapped

It could go about an inch lower without exposing the holes.

 

I was also a little concerned about obstructing the airflow too much through the intercooler and radiator.

Ah yes the holes would have to be filled ...... but no problem with airflow ........ I've been running like this for a while
