Has anyone ever thought of using one of those white (or other colour) marker pens to fill in the brand name on your tyres, as in the example below?

I've only really noticed it on racing cars, some American muscle cars, but never seen any car on a UK road with it.

I anticipate mixed opinion...!

I saw this when i was in oz....... was a very big thing over there...... I think it should be left on the old american muscle cars and not a jap car.

Thanks Husky - well I guess I wrong about there being a mixed opinion!!!

I wonder if anybody has ever thought of selling the actual tyres in different colours, what with the unbridled strive for individuality.

I might take it to the Dragons Den... just to hear Duncan Bannatyne eyeball me and say "this is b0ll0cks, I'm oot!"

different coloured tyres?!

That's a genius idea! Why the hell do we all have to have black tyres?

yes but about completely coloured rubber - has that ever been done?

Not something I wouls consider myself for my car but surely some of the richest people out there have tried something with completely custom tyres?

Had a play with those tyre pens - dont really last very long so not worth the effort IMO.

I think Kumho did a specialist line of tyres for drifters that smoked different colours but cant quite remember. :headhurt:

I do remember waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the 70s reading an article about car tyres to match the colour of your car ........ obviously the idea never took off. I had B F Goodridge tyres on my transam with the white lettering
