Did you get the car HPI checked when you bought it? If your really worried it's stolen that might be a route you can take

+1 HPI Check is important, depending of course on where you have purchased the vehicle.

I'd refrain from using email with the DVLA - there's got to be a way in the door somehow. :boxing:

I'd persist with the automation until you can actually speak to a human!

Quote from the DVLA website:

DVLA will aim to deliver a registration certificate to you within two to four weeks of receiving the application. If you have applied on a V62 application form, this may take up to six weeks as special checks have to be made. Please allow six weeks for the registration certificate to be delivered before contacting the DVLA.

I'd leave it for another week or so and then give them a ring.

By the way, the number is 0300 790 6802, then option 1, and you're straight through to an advisor... not exactly hard

I just called the bloke who sold it to me he said that all paperwork was sent off.

I did do HPI check.

Seller did seem genuine, he was 50+ years old and first owner.

I think i will wait a few more weeks.

Thanks guys.

Did you ask him when he sent it away to get updated?

My bike V5 form took 8 months as the old owner forgot to send it!

You will be ok if you have the wee green slip!
