How come they have reporters flewn in to all these places when there is supposed to be a flight ban? Does is only effect jets ? Now they are talking about closing schools as some teachers are abroad? FFS !! I have a name for those schools head teachers - work shy fopps!! Surely you can get supply teachers in at short notice ? Doh! If the reported flew out before the flights were cancelled from their respective country apparently it's not causing too much disruption to Iceland apart from the immediate area as the ash is all going up then heading across to europe Schools closing is a bit of a joke. I work in one and you can easily get supply teachers. Landing = the engine might not be completely shattered and could be refurb once landed Starting = the engine goes through the ash and shuts down through flight...
