Harman350z Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Sooo after looking at my stonechips for the past 6 months of ownership i am getting tired of it! Im going to purchase a new front bumper, possibly a N1 style.. and instead of going glossy im going matt! Not all over but just mostly, i want to keep some gloss on the car.. Sound ok? Quote
jacr87 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 That will be . Is it difficult not washing and cleaning the cat when its Matt? Quote
rich5259 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 matt bumpers, doors and wings, contrasting colour gloss on bonnet, roof and tailgate Quote
Husky Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 +1 on the cleaning, i dont think i'd cope without the wet look from waxing i'd see the matt as a challenge to make shiny will look mate, look forward to piccies Quote
Jay Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I think you have to have an aggressive body kit to pull off the matt look. If u have a kitted zed then it will look sweet Quote

Harman350z Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 I doubt i could afford a VS kit, im looking into some bits and pieces! I plan on getting a full kit but in stages, front bumper, then sides and rear, i have some deep dish alloys and a spoiler, yummy P.S. Thanks for moving, i should know by now but i still have my occasional 'BRAIN LAPSE'..!! haha Quote
yokomo Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 no need for vs kit , looks like your nismo bits would work with it Quote
Stew Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I'm glad your not getting a VS kit and doing matte or it would just be a carbon copy of Andys.... Quote
bhavin85 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 How does the matt paint job stand up to stone chips....as there isnt any laquer on top i would expect it to suffer fairly badly...unless they do have somespecial kind of laquer Quote
AK350Z Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Matt looks baaad, get a non standard colour instead. Quote
P15UL T Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 i believe that the laquer is a matt finish ....i think Quote
