dcash5 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 The supra is Kev's aswell as the zed lol - Im only jealous! Quote
maz77 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 interesting read. project doesn't make good sense to me though. ££££££ spent on reproducing CF 1350 BHP car and use EBC yellow stuff & OEM discs to stop it would be interesting to know how stiff (or otherwise not) this car compared to the stock supra Quote
srobrien Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 Almost £90K spent, its no wonder he cant afford decent brakes R Quote
rtbiscuit Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 if you read it properly it states that to keep the car road legal it has to use manufactures brakes. Quote

Ian Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 if you read it properly it states that to keep the car road legal it has to use manufactures brakes. Its amazing how after all that work theyve put in that the brakes have to remain standard Quote
R800NER Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 They then uprated the brakes for time attack, so it's not road legal anymore iirc. Similar to the thread posted, my mate Ryan has the fastest road legal lightweight supra in the country (1236kg) and it's pretty insane. It was on the front page of banzai a month or so ago....see here: http://www.banzaimagazine.com/pastissue.asp?issueID=23 He is held in high regard with the supra, MR2 and other jap turbo clubs as a great car tuner Quote
maz77 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 if you read it properly it states that to keep the car road legal it has to use manufactures brakes. I know he said that but surely who could throw in an extra £100 and get some proper pads. afterall, this a time attack car with insane power. that set up is like going to skiing in the winter olympics in your slippers. what buzzles me even more is that the law makers allow for such powerful cars to be road legal and prohibit them from having the brakes upgraded Quote
