Went back after a year then again about 18 months later,they did do it for free though on both occasions. I have been told that if it happens again that if i wrap it in towel it will get the lights off,dont know if there is any truth in this. Couple of my mates have tried it and it's worked for them as well. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XBOX-360-X-Clamp- ... 286.c0.m14 Basically it replaces the really badly designed clamps which hold the heatsinks to the processors. marzman Posted August 22, 2009 Share Posted August 22, 2009 I had the rrod 3 weeks ago... was an 8 day turnaround to get it fixed. Actually, MS replaced my xbox instead of fixing it. I got the xbox first, then a wii, then a ps3... but i've sold both of them and am sticking to xbox. I've read about the towel trick, but wouldnt fancy it. BTW... your xbox is over 3 years old??
