Works fine for me but i am using Vista Ultimate 64 bit and Windows 7 64 bit. :)

Though last week i did re-install xp for a friend and did the IE8 update and there were no problems. :)

im running it on xp and have found it so far to be better than 7, only issue is you have to beat some sense into it regarding the activex controls for rww/rdp, otherwise no issues here

The majority of people I know use Firefox instead of IE - but answering original question the latest version of IE is stable

Firefox is a rival browser to IE.

I've been having silly IE issues since going to IE8, just crashes for no reason randomly so went to Firefox and so far so good.

I dont agree with the firefox reasons but then ive been on the wrong side of 300 users that wanted to use firefox and then looked miffed when the majority got viruses, ie on the otherhand released an update as soon as the realised there was an issue.

business use i would never recommend firefox, home use you can get away with it

Just to throw a spanner in the works - Chrome is a pretty cool browser as well!

Saying that, the latest version of Firefox (3.5.1 - released last week) is so much better than IE - twice as fast and very secure
