Ian Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 No real reasons to stay away from imports, they can be a bit more to insure & some wont have the Brembos, leather etc but tbh if I knew I was gonna mod the car as much as I have now I would have bought an import Quote
Maccaman Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Hi & to the forum. For 12k you should have a very wide choice, have a look to see what's for sale on here as they will be well looked after. Quote
sunset350z Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Welcome mate, you can get some extremely low mileage imports for 12k Quote
sunset350z Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Don't forget that imports are subject to the higher tax band (400 quid +) if imported from 2006 onwards, irrespective of actual age of car. Quote
Stew Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Welcome along. Pick out what you want in the car and chose UK or import respectively. No real difference between them really! Quote
ab350z Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 This old chestnut again, 'stay away from imports'. if the car is quality and has been imported properly then it shouldn't matter one bit. Mine was a top grade import, previous owner did a cracking job sourcing UK spec parts such as interior bits, brembo's, Rays. I'm the exact same price to ensure my JDM as I was for a UK, less than £200 a year road tax and the car has been to Nissan dealers since I owned it and they had zero problems carrying out work on it. Lexx Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 as has been said, for that kinda budget there is a wide range of choice. have a look at www.pistonheads.com/sales to see whats available Quote
