Renegade Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Following on from this thread viewtopic.php?f=61&t=22367 The paint match for touching up the rays is excellent. but I got carried away removing the overspray I used a buffer and went too far So I took them to a wheel place that I found here in Sheffield. I took them in with no tyres on. We decided on black first coat with a bright silver metallic finish cost including fitting me my new tyres plus new valves and balancing was £234. It looks like the black is powder coated. The finish is awesome and they look as though they are changing colour with the light. There are some pictures here but they do not do them justice at all. On the car though it is dark and nasty here today. Quote
Rob_Quads Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Looking very good. Fair price too for what looks like a very good job. Interesting change on the straight silver colour - think it looks good Quote
Stew Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Nice. Is the finish painted then rather than powder coated? Quote
Renegade Posted June 8, 2009 Author Posted June 8, 2009 Nice. Is the finish painted then rather than powder coated? I think it is a light coating of silver paint. I was going to go for a black chrome finish, but their paint lady recommended this. You can actually see the black through the silver too. Quote
