Dave H-B Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I am sorry that this is my first post and i am already asking for help. I have been reading a lot of information on your forum and i am going to be getting a Z this year. At the moment i am looking at this car: http://pistonheads.com/sales/933868.htm and wanted some help with the pricing due to the mods. Is it really worth 11K with the mods? Its posted as a GT version, i contacted the seller after reading information here and he says its an ST as it was imported (guessed as much), but are they the same as the UK GT? There are UK GT cars with less mileage that this for about the same money, so are the mods really worth it, and is the mileage ok in terms of any big services needed? Thanks in advance for any help, and appologies again for questions. I know how annoying it can get answering these sorts of posts. David. Quote
sunset350z Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 There's plenty of cars for sale on here, so i wouldn't be buying the first car i see!! Look in the cars for sale section on this forum and you'll be very suprised. Quote

herbie Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I think its a little on the expensive side. Mods dont make that much more valuble. I bought my Z for 9K. Its a 52 plate Jap Import, 34000 miles and came with uprated suspension and gorgeous 20" deep dish wheels. Quote
IanS Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Personally, its a lot of cash for an import so bargain hard. A newer UK Zed could be found for similar money - as for the mods, the wheels are a big bonus, but dont pay a premium for everything else as surely the perk of modding is to get exactly what you want? Agree with Sunset too Quote
Beavis Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 to the forum. For the money you wont find a finer zed than this one for sale. viewtopic.php?f=56&t=20899 Quote
BulletMagnet Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Welcome to the forums. Looking at the pics, I think that car is also advertised on here (or at least parts of it). viewtopic.php?f=11&t=20102 You could PM him on these forums. If lomoto still has his up for sale, I'd go for that one (sorry Josh) viewtopic.php?f=56&t=20899 Quote
sunset350z Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Exactly, i didn't want to be biased but Lomoto's car ticks all the right boxes for me. If i was looking for a zed now then his car would be in my garage the day he put it up for sale!!! Quote
sunset350z Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 If Josh lowered his price slightly, then with all the mods, that would be a fantastic car to own as well. The money spent on that car would make me cry if i had to sell her at that price. It has all the mods you would need on a zed, apart from a turbo of course Both great cars in their own right Tough choice. Quote
martinmac Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, dont worry about asking questions, we are always happy to help out. Quote
sunset350z Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Oh and by the way Good luck with the search Quote
Dave H-B Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 WOW guys, really impressed with all the responses! Making me feel right at home. The initial reason i was looking at Josh's car was due to the fact i have a Civic Type-R to sell and thats what he is after, so it would be a swap plus some cash.(turbo charged civic with all mods you could ever need ) If i had the cash i think that Lomotos car would be sold, only let down is the colour . i had forgot to ask before if anyone knew the car and obviously you do. Has anyone seen it in person? Thanks again all, will PM Josh as well and say hi. David. Quote
Stew Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Modified cars are difficult to price accurately. Quote
P15UL T Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Modified cars are difficult to price accurately. i agree, you dont get your money back for all the mods and its is a small market to sell to, but its just a matter of finding the right buyer. buyers will get alot for there money when buying a modified car, if you can find one that suits you and if you can find out the background of a car through a forum then it gives you piece of mind that the people are genuine Quote
