AK350Z Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Had, as we say up here, a "Reet good craic" with a retired bloke called Steve in halfords car park this afternoon. He was loving the Zed so much i struggled to get a word in for a good 20mins! Sound chap he was, i wasn't in a rush, so i obliged and gave him the full Zed monty! Also had a nice comment at the petrol station later on. Feeling very happy tonight for some reason, guess Zeds are still reguarded as some kind of pocket exotic! Good Times! Quote
manc350z Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Yep, i had a "nice motor mate" from a young lady in sainsbury's recently... and a bloke in a minging 280z tell me how much he liked 350's..... if he was waiting for the response "i like 280's" he would still be waiting now.... Quote
clarkie34 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Went to a garden centre recently,on returning to my car a young lad was taking a pic on his mobile. How much did that cost, the lad said to me.Too bloody much with the mods I replied. Quote
roast350z Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Plenty of young lads shouting "that is one sick motor bruv" Thanks... i guess? then i had some guy in the petrol garage calling it "a beast of a car" then followed me flashing his lights and sticking his thumb up at me theres some strange peolpe around! Shuck Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Last weekend was one of the neighbours kids birthdays. About 20 sets of parents were turning up to drop off and pick up their kids for the party whilst I was outside giving the car a good wash, wax and clean inside. Had comments from about 80% of them. About 2 weeks ago two random workmen from around the corner stopped and had a good 10 minute chat with me too. Like you have said AK350Z, the Zed is still quite an exotic car with stunning looks. It still makes me laugh when people turn to look when you drive past them. Quote
clarkie34 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 What made me laugh was when I bought mine 18 months ago.On our way home the other half said to me everyone is staring at us. Quote
Stew Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I like it when people take pics on their mobile. I get a lot of nice comments from the kids out and about and big kids too! People do seem to like the car. Quote
S1 HNK Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 just moved into a new flat and the couple downstairs were crawling all over it when i first arrived, they then asked me what it was and was it Russian because of all the Z badges on it!! I did realise that it actually doesnt have one nissan badge on it though so i guess most people would be unsure! Quote
M350ZB Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Plenty of young lads shouting "that is one sick motor bruv" Thanks... i guess? then i had some guy in the petrol garage calling it "a beast of a car" then followed me flashing his lights and sticking his thumb up at me theres some strange peolpe around! "Sick", only in good old essex aye kieth Quote
ab350z Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Aye a guy up at Glenshee that helped me push it in the snow said he's always loved them but just can't handle the mpg. Said mine looked dead smart! Cheers Quote
AK350Z Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Just remembered, i parked in a local multi-storey the other week. I'd walked off only to realise i'd forgot my ticket. When i got back to the car, a woman was trying to get down the 3 inch gap behind the car to see what it was Quote
Beavis Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Went to Buxton last year and saw a guy taking lots of pictures of it parked up. Picked Ryan up from school in it and had about 30 kids taking pics of it with their mobiles Quote
nixy Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 happens all the time. The thing about the zed is that people who don't know much about cars think you are sat in something that cost about 50k! Quote

JimmyJam75 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I had a the guy delivering my chinese on Mon night commenting about the zed. I was being really polite and chatting away, but secretly thinking about the chicken satay... mmmm.. Quote
PhilTheForce Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Just so long as you don't find any strangers 'loving' the Zed... http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Transwiki:Mechaphilia (ever see that programme about those weirdos?) Quote

MrLizard Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 my view from inside my zed parking at work The office is still unsure if anyone is still trapped in the bush after the last fire drill, nobody likes assembly point B Quote
Shuck Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 That is one mean looking cat Liz. Hope it didn't have sharp claws.............. Quote
MrLizard Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 cats claws arnt too bad, i did go and check and pick the cat up off that zed, skipped my zed and put him on the mondeo next to mine, he leaves each car as the next turns up... Quote
S1 HNK Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 if i came out and saw a cat sat on my bonnet, i would return with one of two weapon choices - a bucket full of hot water or my 3 wood with graphite shaft Quote
nixy Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 i like cats but i wouldn't be too please if I saw one on my bonnet! Quote
Stew Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 if i came out and saw a cat sat on my bonnet, i would return with one of two weapon choices - a bucket full of hot water or my 3 wood with graphite shaft That's cruel. A spray with water (not while on the bonnet) is the best course of action. I assume you were joking though..... Quote
Shuck Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I take it the cat is just sitting on the warm bonnets? Everytime I see a cat on my car I regret the day I gave up paintballing. 22 shots per second would have sorted it out......... I hate cats but couldn't hurt them, just a knock at the window usually is enough to scare them off. Quote
MrLizard Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 it is a bonnet whore, every new car that lines up it leaves the car its on and jumps on the next one, the silver zed owner i know so i moved the cat 'skipping my car' and applied the cat to the next newest car with a space next to it. Cat will do this until it reaches the end of the line (always a mk2 golf gti) and then go to sleep on it I cant imagine that this cat has a particually stressful life but who knows... Quote
