 I've had to that on a rally in Wales in the 1970's but as the co-driver I was 'ordered' to do the engine cuddling bit, at night. The car was a 1600E with a newly developed TJ fuel injection systems fitted but the first time out it came apart and with no quick fix available the bonnet was taken off and put in the back and I had to sit there like a lemon for about 3 miles clinging on for dear life working the control arm on the injection. Mind you, when it was all working that car was like the proverbial @*!# off a shovel on tarmac :D

Ah, the good old days of night road rallies...... :drive1
