GIXXERUK Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 much better, it looks like big phils car is its brother the car looks much more complete imo Quote
Digsy Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 A functional looking bonnet for a very functional looking car. I reckon jumbo pilots would shy away from that dash though! (All functional and required, I know. ) Quote
Sarnie Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Please get rid of those stickers!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
xStric9x Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Seriously guys you want to hear the noise that comes out of this thing Quote
Stew Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 We were outside your chalet and I think we heard it when I was halfway through shampooing my car. It was finished and rinsed before it appeared. Seriously amazing noise! I suppose that's what 600bhp sounds like..... Quote
Pimm Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Please get rid of those stickers!!!!!!!!!!! +1 Quote
Ebized Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Please get rid of those stickers!!!!!!!!!!! +1 -1 Alex tracks/races this car, as well as using it on the road, so the stickers reflecting the changes he has carried out are quite appropriate IMO. Seeing the car in the flesh (which I don't think Sarnie or Pimm have) will fully reveal what this roadster is all about - see pic below to give you some idea of the extensive engine mods that include one-off engine internals, and mapping courtesy of Abbey Motorsport. The car is remains perfectly useable on the road and as those who rode shotgun with Alex will reveal it has some serious grunt whilst the noise it makes is simply the best I have ever heard a ZED make. Oh, and the bonnet suits it fine - more important, a little less weight means a little more go Quote

Didn't know that - I remember now that Alex said it would help the engine cooling - so perhaps that will help the 'go' factor? Quote
kingbiscuit Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Suprised you used the roadster for a racer. Isnt the handling massively compromised Quote

I appreciate what a beast the car is, but that doesn't mean it needs to advertise every manufacturer that contributed a part via tacky Saxo esque stickers imo. Ruins the aesthetics of what is an amazing car imo. Quote
mick43 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Bonnet looks great The stickers that are missing are those that are needed to race ! I don't know a race series that would allow entry without MSA safety stickers (plus hareness, full roll cage etc ).... except maybe club sprints ? Which race series is this car in ? Quote
Stew Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I think it's used for pleasure racing. It seems to do more track miles than my car does road miles. Alex will confirm what he uses his car for though. Quote
