sl114 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-350-Z ... dZViewItem Made me think about this, with light damage and if it isnt a cat d or c or whatever and all works ok, would you buy a damaged car if you were going to mod it, i.e like this, put a new front bumper on (nismo), momo steering wheels, etc...? Ebized Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Something not right with that car - UK one with no service history and its a 276 on a 56 plate? The seller is clearly confused about what the car is and his feedback rating ain't great Bargepole job Quote
lomoto Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 leave well alone, it's on the register and air bags are blown , it's not cheap either Quote
AK350Z Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 You would be well advised to get it on a bodyshop jig and check the chassis isn't bent. Professional help of some kind must surely be mandatory? Quote
Andy Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I've just done a similar thing, bought a crashed Cat C car worth c£2k for £347 and got it repaired for a couplr of hundred quid. Got it vic tested and all passed fine. However......that was on a £347 car, not over £10k on a Z and like has been said, I don't actually think that is a very good price at all bearing in mind the condition and damage. Quote
jim Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Wouldn't go near it - the seller has a poor rating and I wouldn't trust someone who can't spell basic words properly in a public advert. But hey, I'm just old-fashioned. Quote
Renegade Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 No it looks like it has been hard kerbed who knows what suspension and other parts are damaged and bent. Quote
Ando Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I Agree with the rest, if it looks to good to be true, it usually is!! A friend of mine had a spin in his car side airbags went off, bent steering and a bent rear wheel, insurance wrote it off as it bent the chassis, could only just tell from the gaps each side of the boot lid. dcash5 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I know its a newer car and low millage but i paid considerably less that that for my fully functioning one and without the 'its been in a crash' label attached to it. Quote
