What's your favourite film of 2022?

I got the Top Gun Maverick 2 disc collection last week and rewatched them back to back.

Another rare occasion where I enjoyed the sequel better than the original.

 

So much so I'd say it's the best film I saw both in the cinema and at home this year!

It's not been a great year for cinema... post-covid Hollywood is a shell of it's former self.  We were already seeing the start of this before covid with the growth of the streaming platforms and the incessant Marvel nonsense, but i think we're now in a really sorry state.

Top Gun Maverick

Day Shift (Netflix movie - Jamie Foxx action comedy vampire hunting)

Bullet Train (Pulp fiction on a train)

I've got to say I also think Top Gun Maverick was an awesome film. I did like Black Adam, but I think it might need another watch or 2...
