ILUVUNICORNS Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Hi guys Next week I have a Cobra Cat Back Exhaust and Decats with an UpRev tune, being fitted and installed. What gains can I expect from a 370Z GT model? Just curious. Cheers Quote
Andy_Muxlow Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Probably around 20-30 bhp roughly, but don't quote me on that... N/A engines don't gain much bhp from modding unless you go Forced Induction. 2 Quote
coldel Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Remember thats peak BHP which is a relatively useless measure. What you are aiming for is area under the curve increases across the range as a better measure of power increase, as well as removal of flat spots and a smoother drive. 3 Quote
Umster Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 It's all about the maps. You want to tune up the throttle response, get a 99 octane map and put a valet map on the car as a security feature. Gains tend to be 20ish BHP depending on a few things like air intakes, cats (or lack of) etc. 1 Quote
ILUVUNICORNS Posted July 29, 2019 Author Posted July 29, 2019 Well it’s got from Friday.... Cobra CBE Decats Stillen Cold Air Intake Uprev tune £2,300 for 20bhp. Pretty poor in comparison to sportsbikes lol Quote
SHEZZA Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 The main gain is the smile you’ll get from the noise. 1 Quote

Ive just got front new discs and pads P3 service Oil Gallery gaskets done as well New rear ball joints Etc so total cost is just under £5,000..... oops Quote
Umster Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Like the guys have said before, you'll gain mods from the remap than just BHP. It's the power output, the top speed, the ability to get power from the get go and the throttle response. Make sure you've got a full tank of good fuel, it'll help. And make sure you get some sensible maps. Will never understand why people slap a 95 octane map on the car. 1 Quote

ILUVUNICORNS Posted August 7, 2019 Author Posted August 7, 2019 I’m now worried, from reading reports, that with my mods, it will be pretty loud....oops. Not my style. Quote
Umster Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 (edited) Decats will be very loud. Gains will be nice. MOT will require handshakes. Edited August 7, 2019 by Umster 1 Quote
ILUVUNICORNS Posted August 9, 2019 Author Posted August 9, 2019 So it made 347 bhp at the fly after the UpRev and is a strong engine apparently. Noise wise - Oh Boy..... 1 Quote
Umster Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 That's nice! Guess you're a lucky one, hopefully you've got a really aggressive car now. Hahaha only thing I can say about the noise is it gets worse in the winter. I'd recommend spending a weekend applying sound deadening around the cabin. 1 Quote
ILUVUNICORNS Posted August 9, 2019 Author Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) Lol....... Absolutely ridiculous sound lol...... This will be for sale within 4-8 weeks. UpRev wise - the car is totally different and just wants to go. 4th gear from 4K to redline, it pulls so much harder. I’m a torque guy rather than redline every gear so with 3 maps, the car is totally transformed. Horsham Developments did a great job. Edited August 9, 2019 by ILUVUNICORNS 1 2 Quote
