Initial_j Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Another question When unlocking my car with the fob, one press unlocks the drivers door but have to press it twice to also unlock the passenger door Is that’s normal? Seems a strange design if so! Quote
cmck13 Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Correct on your own, the passengers is left locked so no one can open the door from outside. Quote
Jack94 Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I'm sure somewhere in the owners manual there's a way to change it between 1 or 2 stage unlocking using the fob.. Quote

Only on later cars, I don’t recall when it changed though. Toggled simply by holding the button for several seconds, iirc. 1 Quote
Initial_j Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Oooh. Might give that a go as mine is a later car. Quote
MDMetal Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Works on any car surely? I have a 54 plate and I switched the functionality Quote
mr v6 Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 This also works for my 05, but I left it so the passenger door stays locked. Quote

mr v6 Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Hold both buttons down for a few seconds, then unlock the car with the remote key, if you've done it right both doors will unlock. If you want to revert back to only the drivers door unlocking, just repeat the procedure. 1 Quote
