Potential 370z Nismo Owner: Clutch Question!

Hi there

 

Am seriously considering purchasing a Mark 2 Nismo but am slightly concerned with the feedback re the clutch. Basically how long does it take to get used to the clutch's high biting point and ensuring smooth upshifts from 1-2-3?

 

I am coming from a VW DSG gearbox . Occasionally drive manual cars but only small engined cars.

Ive heard a few people say that about the Mk1 - though replacement parts will be higher

I think the Mk2 has a wider appeal tho and more potential to tempt car buyers that traditionally go German than the MK1 which has a more Jap street racer image

Have you driven one yet ? Best bet to try everyone is different , I was never a fan of the manual box in the 370z but many like it

Pick my mark 2 on 10th August.Already counting down the sleeps.

I found the actual gearbox nice,albeit a bit noisy..

 

The clutch pedal feel drove me nuts.... The vibration and tingling feeling was awful.

The clutch is mostly fine but it does occasionally make a d**k out of you

 

Or i could just be a bad driver
