370z GT 2013 engine rattle

Hi guys. My brother has a low mileage auto which after a main dealer service last week has developed an intermittent top end rattle which I recon is coming from the the rear two cylinders. It seems to be worse when cool but comes back periodically. I know the 370 has vvt unlike the 350 so I'm asking has anyone else had this issue. Thanks in advance.

Both mine did and do make some strange noises at times

I've learnt to take no notice if all the vital signs are well lol

Thanks. Worried about oil starvation/cam issues.

I assume you have checked the oil level Andy??

Yes Chris,oil and all other fluids up to max.

Just worries me a bit as it's at the back of the engine and quite loud when it does it!!

Maybe be worth a second opinion from someone you trust

Hard to say mate, happy to have a listen if you wany to swing by

Go on YouTube and Google bearing rattle and pray you don't hear a familiar sound.

need to check oil pressure with a gauge Andy

Unlikely to suffer low oil problems but worth checking , I have heard that the flexplates on the autos can crack and can sound a little rattly and can come and go

 

Worth checking the cats as well as they ratlle when they start to go

I would go back to the main dealer that serviced it.
