Kev Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) What is the thread size for a 350z gear knob? M10x1.25 or M12x1.25? I thought it was 10 but I'm considering buying a nismo gt shift knob and the seller says its 12? Another seller is saying its 10? Thanks Edited April 13, 2016 by Kev Quote
veilside z Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Or mopedmark as he has just made some custom knobs 1 Quote
ZEUS Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) M12 (maybe) Edited April 13, 2016 by ZEUS 1 Quote
Kev Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 It's weird. Every thread I find says 10. But nismo say 10 is for 5 speed and 12 for 6 speed. The other brand I'm considering say 10. But it's a US import and not cheap so I don't want to make a mistake. Quote
ZEUS Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 As veilside said mopedmark will know for sure as he's just started making gear knobs. Quote
Kev Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 Thanks for that. Funky power website has all 6 speed as 12mm. Quote
Kev Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 I know who I would believe. I know bud. Glad I questioned it. They've confirmed 350z are 10mm, but say all other 6 speed Nissan are 12mm. Quote
Stan Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Wierd, I brought one from ebay from the states and it was listed as M12 and I fitted it at the weekend with no problems... this is for a 6 speed Quote

Is it a snug fit? Yeah it is, although come to think of it, it came with a load of adaptors so maybe it was generic and it had an M10 adaptor that fitted 1 Quote
