Mikevv
Hi guys, I need new pads at the rear, MOT places them at around 80% worn - Bad I know but the previous MOT was fine so don't really understand how they got so bad so fast. Anyways, I checked them over the weekend and they are deffo worn Now cause I'm both lazy and time limited, I figured I'd do pads and discs all round in one go. I don't get much time to work on the car due to weather and work/social commitments I'm thinking around £100 a corner a set should be ample - and I found two discs in this range ( not sure which pads to use with the DBA discs ) I found these DBA 4000 Series from ClarkMotorsport - with Stoptech Street pads? http://www.clarkmoto...ented/DBA4954SP http://www.torqen.uk...o-30909600.html http://www.clarkmoto...ented/DBA4574SP http://www.torqen.uk...o-30909610.html Then I'm looking at these Black Diamond discs + pads but supplied by Mitz for both the front and rear - only had one link http://www.demon-twe...mm-vented-discs http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7_6&products_id=101 http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7_6&products_id=102 if it was your money, which would you go for? I like the drilled/slotted rotors, as they look the bees, but I hear DBA is a superior product? I would also need pads, so what pads would you use for the DBA discs, as I doubt Black Diamond ones would be a good match I ONLY do road use, so I thought these would all be ample. The links are purely so I can refer you to exactly what I'm looking - Sorry for the over kill. Edited February 23, 2016 by Mikevv
SHEZZA
Looking at your links the ones from clarkmotorsport appear to be for none brembo brakes. I've not got them but I think the guys will recommend the DBA T2's with hawk ceramic pads. As they get good recommendations. Can't seem to copy and paste at the minute but if you go to clarkmotorsport in th traders section near the top you will see there combo deal for them. Ewen@Clark Motorsport
shezza ids correct they are for the non-Brembo cars. As he says the DBA T2 with Hawk PC combo is very popular and all in stock for next day delivery http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/104188-dba-t2-discs-with-hawk-pads-new-combo-price-deal/

Thanks for the heads up
Ewen@Clark Motorsport
We can supply OEM spec Brembo discs with the Hawk pads which will still improve braking performance, drop me a PM if interested
GT4 Zed
That^^^^^^ I don't know why some pips look down on the OE disc. They are made with superior steel than most of the fancy rubbish with groves, slots or cross drilled bandied around. Paired with good pads for your appilcation +/- better fluid and ss lines they will do the job. Pagid also makes OE spec disc and these are similarly priced in ECP. shire350Z
Thinking of getting the DBA T2s & Hawk pad set up for the front, how have you two guys found them for overall performance, noise and brake dust?? Was looking at some reviews online (American market) and quite a few people were complaining about noise and heavy brake dust
Adrian@TORQEN
James, how about a full Stoptech kit: http://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/pack-deals/5879-350z-stoptech-fr-brake-discs-pads-lines-and-fluid-pack-drilledslotted-brembo.html In case you never heard about StopTech, read here: http://www.stoptech.com/about/accomplishments-and-awards http://www.stoptech.com/about/about-us http://www.stoptech.com/about/OEM

That's now our most popular setup and I've had no complaints
monkeybrain1234
I have the Hawk HPS pads on mine with oem brembo disks. They work very well together. Just as an alternative to having the Dba's Like you I don't do any track driving but this combo stands up well to a spirited drive. They held up when chasing a 911 during the peaks and 3 of us having to slam on the anchors really hard. As in really hard porkers brake lights were flashing (indicating emergency stop). Pretty sure without the Hawks I would have ended up rear ending Matts Z and pushing him into the porker. Moments like those you are glad about good brakes.
m1ke13
Just too add another option I recently fitted mtec disks with brembo pads and I've been very impressed with performance, worth considering.
mctwistuk
Just too add another option I recently fitted mtec disks with brembo pads and I've been very impressed with performance, worth considering. Mtec discs grooved and dimpled or the new fish hook design coupled with a set of performance friction pads is what I would recommend.

Bit expensive but worth the outlay. Edited September 12, 2016 by monkeybrain1234
