HaydnH Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Renault stocks have fallen 20% at the news. Renault have denied that the raids found any evidence of wrongdoing. Hmmmm... time to buy some Renault stocks? Quote
Ekona Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Meh, who cares? I hope they all cheated, it's the system that's stupid not the manufacturers. 2 Quote
Sargara Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 The others would have had to cheat to compete with VW rightly or wrongly, I just don't think it would have been on the same scale as Renault don't sell in America for example. Quote

Not really, VW would just be making more profit on each car as they weren't shelling out as much for expensive cat materials. Quote
ioneabee Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 sort of what Dan says its irrelevant ........... they probably are to some aspect or other ......... just use the figures (if you really want to) to compare.........I mean who actually achieves the stated manu figures 1 Quote
Ekona Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Agreed. If you actually believe the stated figures for diesel MPG, you're as much of a mug as the EU tests suspect you are. Quote
AMT Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Combined 24mpg claimed for the 350's... I'm regularly on 20-22 which is not bad... oh btw... what kinda air bags do we have? Quote
Richf Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 BMW used the same software to cheat emissions testing on their bikes a few year back , long before VW did . Quote
Jimmyflo Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 If they have all cheated it shows that the emissions targets set my the eu are totally unachieveable. Modern diesels are so packed with emissions stuff j don't think I'd buy a used one without a warranty Quote

Richf Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 http://news.sky.com/...-15000-vehicles cut and paste from there She told RTL radio that Renault "has committed to recalling a certain number of vehicles, 15,000 vehicles, to check them and adjust them correctly so that the filtration system works" in all temperatures. Ms Royal said: "New cars must meet the norms. To correctly adjust an engine takes half a day." 15,000 vehicles each taking half a day is 7500 days or 20.5 YEARS of work! Thats going to cost a fortune ! Quote
