SyMan80 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Hi. I put the car away in the garage last night, this morning I tried to start it, it did start briefly then died now it just turns over but doesn't start. Any ideas on what it could be ? It's a 54 plate with 60,000 miles just had a new clutch a month ago Thanks in advance Simon Quote
BulletMagnet Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 With the temps coming down, I'd suggest getting your battery checked if its still got enough kick in it. This seems to happen every year around this time. Quote
Payco Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 As per BM.Check the battery charge,it was very cold last night. Quote
SyMan80 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Cheers, going to get it checked tomorrow Quote
ZMANALEX Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 As above or perhaps Crank Position Sensor. Quote
Kraziekatz1 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Agree with above.....had to replace mine last week! Quote
SyMan80 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Cheers, where abouts is the crank position sensor (just in case) and is there a way to test it before buying a new one? Quote
Ricey Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Left hand side of the engine on the gearbox mounted where the flywheel will be inside (I think ) To test it you need a multimeter and to know the correct resistance values (which I dont). Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Quote
