If you are going to remove the rear trim on the tailgate i would recommend a trim removal tool so not to damage the plastic clips that hold everything together. Once you take the rear plastic bit apart/off you may aswell remove the heavy weight in the back tailgate. Less weight, faster car

anyone can replace the bose system it's about improving or make doing with what you got imo I must confess though when i done mine the other night i was drinking the lager rather well but last year i was soldering and drinking at the same time and picked up the iron at the wrong end so i was a little more carefull this time

I have no ipod ?? any mobile phone or cheap mp3 player with a headphone socket will do the job it's only 11.40, start know and it will be finished by 1 am

haha, thats pricless mate, cant understand why people havent done this mod before when its been out so long....I'm glad my thread is helping people and I plan to keep updating it... I need to get the Porta Cable out and remove some of the paint swirls... Like myself, never came across this mod, until your very detailed thread which has made this look very easy to do hence while people are taking the plunge and doing it. I had the car on the drive this afternoon with the doors open playing my mp3 and it feels and sound's like a new sound system loving it though
