People see Amy Winehouse & other druggie stars as "rascals" who are not doing any harm. The problem is we only see them when they are performing or being interviewed & normally in something like a "normal" state. If the public were to see them boozed, drugged up etc. and how they were with family & friends afterwards then opinion might be a little different. Can you imagine how revered Elvis would have been if the public got to see him emerging from his pill induced stupor

Glad to hear you came out of that ok. Must have been a very scary moment. Just shows how alert you have to be to the traffic all around you.

My Mum is 84 and still driving. Pleased she is as it gives her some freedom, though she doesn't travel very far. I do worry about her ability to react if anything were to happen on the road though.
