  1. Hi mate, That's excellent news!!! I wasn't sure if when Paul said £50 off if it would be before or after VAT but figured I would put the max it would cost so any extra saving would be a bonus. Really glad you are happy mate I'm really looking forward to my turn on Monday I will send a PM to all who are on my list. I'm modded very similar to you so will be interesting to see how are numbers compare. Looks like yours has done well though awesomeness!!!!!!!! Steve
  2. The price of the UpREV at RS Tuning has been £395 + VAT ever since I started looking back in 2010. There are many factors that can influence how much something costs. For a start I'm pretty sure Abbey do people off here a deal anyway. Secondly the price is dictated by the running costs of the various places, i.e. heating, lighting, power to run the kit etc etc and margins. Economies of scale also play a big part in prices. Why do you think Dell are loads cheaper than getting the same Laptop built by a small shop down the road? It could well be that RS Tuning have to pay more for certain things than Abbey, who knows. Its kind of like saying Clothing Shop A should charge exactly the same as Clothing Shop B for the same jacket or Safestyle should charge exactly the same for double glazing as 'Local Town' trade windows as we all know this isn't the case. Like has been previosuly said if you aren't happy with the prices go to Abbey but as Neil has pointed out it would be at least a tank - tank and a half for me plus the hassle and time. I would still go to RS Tuning even if he wasn't doing us the Group Buy price. Steve
  3. Hi Mark, Thanks very much, I do plan to angle it in the future just wanted to get it securely mounted first. It should be fairly easy to angle the way Its mounted at the bottom. Next Job is the deflector well after I put the take off plate back in Cheers Steve
  4. Hi mate, Yes I know its important the oil gets up to temp, the take off plate is a thermostatic one with the valve starting to open at 80 degrees so will get to temperature no problem at all. I do intend on getting one at some stage just need to sort out how to mount the sensor etc. Steve
  5. Yes it is difficult finding a place for it to be mounted that isn't affecting the radiator. However, I thought by keeping it clear of the 'mouth' in the bumper would be best after Mark's advice. Its rock solid where it is at the moment its mountd at the top on an existing stud and a bracket I fabbed up. Then at the bottom I've put two L shape brackets mounted to the back of the crash bar. I don't actually have a gauge for the temps but I know at Mallory last year the car was getting super hot with an ambient of 27 degrees and just added this for saftey.
  6. Hi mate, I've fitted the oil cooler becuase I do quite a few trackdays in the summer and was always a bit concerned that the oil temps getting high. The oil filter is on top of the take off plate, the picture was taken between the wheel and brake disc so it wasn;t the easiest to take. Its also a K&N filter which has a nut welded onto the top for removal, that could be why it just looks like a take off plate. I've remounted my oil cooler today and its rock solid. Now sat on 4 brackets behind the crash bar, haven't connected the lines yet, thats a job for the week. Hopefully the location is better and it won't send the outdoor temp sensor mad.... I also need to make the deflector panel for the air flow but that is to follow. Any comments from anyone on plan B location??? Sorry about the rubbish quality pics! Comments appreciated
  7. Just booked myself in for the 14th, Valentines day present for my baby lol
  8. Hi Mark, Thanks for the info, I'm not too keen on the routing of my hoses either so think it is back to the drawing board. I'm gonna take it off this weekend before I damage the car or cooler. Appreciate the input! Steve
  9. I think my install is effecting my outdoor temp sensor apparently it was 25 degrees driving to work this morning . . . .
  10. Hi Alex, Thanks for the tip mate!!! It is only fixed by the top bracket, I thought that would be strong enough!I will get that sorted as soon as possible.!! I'll get some plate and run it around the base then affix to the underside of the crashbar and bolt the base of the cooler to the plate, I don;t want any breakage issues! Thanks again Steve
  11. Here we go some pics Mocal take off plate, HEL Oil Cooler and Braided Lines. If I remember correctly its a 19 row cooler at a guess about 12 inches wide.
  12. Someone did the same to me in the gym car park, sadly no CCTV footage. The bumper was left with a hemispherical scrape mark to the top right corner and a chipped number plate. However, I later found spider web cracked paint so the bumper would need a fully respray. However, before I got that sorted a stone broke my carbon trim at the bottom and I then found the whole bumper was split in the lower left corner (probably caused by a previous owner hence the carbon trim to 'hide the damage') I'm using it as an excuse to Nismo myself when I have the cash,
  13. Well I finished off my oil cooler last night, was a bit of a pain getting the braided hoses to 'bend' where I wanted them to go but got there in the end. I think next time I do an oil change though I will look at rerouting the lines because I had to bend the undertray around the lines where they come out of the take off plate. Now all ready for the Uprev map Just gott aget myself booked in when I find a free day. Steve

  19. Hi Mate, I've mounted my cooler to the back of the crashbar. I drilled right through the lower portion of the '8' then used some big washers looks good and nicely out of the way, just gotta fit the take off plate now. Got a bit late last night and need the car for work so need some time when I can make sure its not leaking! Cheers Steve
  20. Thanks very much folks. In that case seen as its pretty thin I'll go the whole way through with nuts and bolts. Make sure the cooler is nice and firm that way. Thanks again Steve
  21. Hey hopefully someone knows the answer to this so here goes. Does anyone know the wall thickness of the crashbar? I'm Trying to decide whether I should drill and tap one side and mount my oil Cooler like that or drill right through and then use nuts and long bolts. Cheers Steve
