  1. To be honest it would have been a great arcade game but the fact that they have tried so hard to make it a sim, yet still kept the stupid drift style physics has wrecked it. Bring on Forza 3
  2. Yeah I agree, dirt 2 is a great game. I even like the menus Just annoys me when NFSshift gets 9.0 on most of the reviews but when you read the reader reviews section its more like a 4.0

    Blow out

Glad to hear it went.. erm.. well Any ideas what caused it?
  4. Sorry to resurrect an old topic but have any of you guys played NFS:Shift? I bought it today and it was actually quite fun for the first 2 hours but once you start unlocking longer more open tracks this game really shows its floors. Its as if the steering wheel only has 3 options, Full lock left, centre, and full lock right. I'm no GT Academy competitant but I have always been good at my car sims and I can honestly say this is one of the worst handling 'sims' I have played in a while. I dont know about you guys but I find one of the easiest things to do when driving a real car is to drive straight. NOT IN THIS GAME!! Oh well, just thought I'd give you all my opinion Has anyone else got this yet?
  5. FI may not make you a brilliant driver but an extra 100 whp will definitely help. Don't forget that Abbey and RS Tuning can map the stock ecu for FI for only £500ish. I also agree that a chassis and brake upgrade is advised but lets be honest, the brembos really aren't that bad and unless you are doing lap after lap around a track I'm pretty sure they won't let you down. TBH, if you want a FAST car that you can make massive bhp out of for cheap you don't buy a 350Z, you buy a skyline or a Supra.
  6. Big Phil did a guide on this, I'll see if I can find it. You just need to re-grease the rear droplinks
  7. Going from nurrish's non-mapped dynos: (rounded up and down) Westons 260bhp RS 285bhp so in theory mine would be: (dynoed same day as nurrish's) Westons 305bhp RS 330bhp (in theory) So if you calculate the drivetrain loss at 17%(ish) mine would be putting out 275 RWHP, only 25 less than Adam@Z1's car so something is wrong here somewhere if you catch my drift. I agree that there is definitely something wrong with the dyno world if two different dynos can be so far apart on the same car but it wouldnt put me off getting dyno's. Id just get them done at the same place all the time and use them to see gains as opposed to max power. In fact I may even stopp quoting my max power after dyno's (as its clear that it could be way out) and just say "fitted new mod today - got me 1bhp increase". As long as you always use the same dyno then increase wise we should be able to say pretty accurately what our mods have done for us. On another note surely there should be some sort of national dyno rules for things like what gear to use, how tight to strap etc......so that we can take it to different places and feel confident that we are getting a comparable test? Well the bloke at Westons (only dyno I have ever done) said that all of the Dyno Dynamics should be pretty close at it all comes set from them and not the individual tuner. As you said though, I think that the only way of getting reliable information is to use the same dyno every time forgetting about the actual figure and just keeping in mind increases and decreases in power.
  8. no worries, just dont offer to pay nurrish back with a dominos pizza as his missus managed to empty my bank account with the last order ( Only joking )
  9. Welcome to the club Nick Good luck with sorting your Clutch/Flywheel, I'm sure Alex will be able to sort you out

  11. Grant I can prob help you out mate. As long as its after 5 or a weekend you'd just have to replace the petrol Gimme a txt
  12. How many times have we heard that before Good luck with the sale/PX anyway mate
  13. I would have thought the only real way of knowing would be to go back to Westons and get it done there again as they have nothing to gain by boosting numbers and you got it done there before the remap.
  14. Right on the Sussex coast in St-Leonards, i did put up a post in the introductions page asking if anyone around my area would take me out or let me drive a 350, but nothing so far, big ask i guess, and none of the dealers around this way seem to have any. I would have thought if you look for a meet someone would be only too happy to oblige. I'm down in Oxted next Saturday having some ECU work done, about an hour from you. But my car isn't stock, so wouldn't help in that respect. Ace cafe meet in October or Modified Live at Snetterton might be good opportunities. I was just about to say that yours probably pulls a bit better than most Martin
