You can use the existing pipes, the only reason to change them would be to tart up your engine bay. And as 3FIDDYZ said, I wouldnt install cheap air filters (or them fake supercharger fans) just incase they break up and get sucked inside your engine.

Oh, also I have a blitz induction kit which I do like but are a bit pricey. In my opinion the best value for money kit is the JWT pop charger which I had on my last car. Think you can pick up the filter without pipe for under £100. Give a nice growl and hiss sound. Nicest (and loudest) exhaust I have heard is the K1 which I think MrLizard is selling second hand for £200 with removable silencers.

AFAIK you are correct with the induction kit sucking in more air, thus improving power on most cars. The 350z is a little different though as the ECU is quite restrictive with performance mods. Say you added an induction kit, any extra power will be taken away by the ECU re-restricting the air flow. With Exhausts the larger the bore the less restriction of airflow again but the 350z needs back pressure so you will lose torque. So as martin says, the only real differences you will find from changing the Exhaust and air filter etc are the sound and the look (bling factor) Hope this helps a little. (also hope im not talking out of my backside too much )

Dont know if its linked but if I touch my handbrake while moving even at 1mph it trips out my TCS and only an ignition restart will clear it. No idea about your ESP though.

Spinning in fourth? You've either got one quick Zed or that was a slippery road! I agree with the ECU reset as it should definitely be coming on, especially this time of year! Someone mentioned to me that the ABS sensors also effect the TCS - I cant confirm that though. Have also found that if I pull the handbrake before the car has stopped fully when parking on a drive etc (bad habit) then it trips out the TCS.

Martinmacs chrome Ruff Racing Wheels looked mint in my opinion. Think it depends on the colour of the car though mostly. Personally I quite like deep polished dishes. Less bling than chrome but still shiney Only think with anything shiney on your car in this country is it goes dull pretty fast and its all good having summer alloys but we dont ever seem to have a summer!! End of rant

How can I legally test the top speed of the Zed? I know there are drag tracks in the uk but I'm pretty sure they are only quarter mile. Any ideas? Also, where can you do it in Europe? I'm pretty sure you can get done on the Autobahn now cant you? (it may sound boring - i just want to know)

I'd say one of your doors/bonnet/boot isn't shut properly or one of the switches are on their way out. Maybe the buzz is telling you a door is open too?

Well that's a b*st*rd! I think it's too late now anyway. As I said I'll have to give them another go, I don't think they are chipped though thankfully. Any idea on the price of a new set anyone? Haven't really seen many sets around
