  1. yeah, I googled that first but nothing came up - so you'll have to make do with the lion
  2. Randomly, a quick google search brings up this image
  3. OH well - live and learn I guess - not much I can do about it now, didn`t realise it would make that big a diff to be honest :( Could always buy another Falcon and flog the bridgestone?
  4. Ok, that makes me feel better at least - these things happen, just wanted to make sure I hadn`t been ripped off. As for not getting another Falcon, they didn`t have any in stock, car was on the jack, and although ordering one from camskill and taking it back down would have been the 'best' option - practically I just wanted to get home and put the whole thing behind me!
  5. Thanks for the replies all. I popped the car into Kwik Fit earlier, they took out the screw and the whole tyre promptly deflated, so it had obviously punctured through. They assured me there was no way of fixing it, so I had to just believe them and bite the bullet on a new bridgestone 040 thing. RRP was a huge £190 but guy gave me 50 quid off so I got it for £130 + £10 fitting. Not sure if I've been conned and it could have been fixed - but I'm no car expert alas. Annoying as previous tyre was a falcon, same as the otehr 3 corners with only about 1000 miles on it
  6. Hey all, Started hearing a clicking noise coming from the front right wheel when I was driving yesterday, and closer inspection revealed this little (well, big) bugger in my tyre. Anyone recognise what it is so I can work out how deep it's gone in and basically whether it's likely to have punctured anything? Should I be safe to just prize it out? Tyre doesn`t seem to have lost any pressure as far as I can see. Thanks in advance! edit - just done a bit of googling and it seems I'm going to need to get it repaired anyway, people just seem to be in disagreement over whether you get a new tyre or just get a mushroom plug to fix the current one. The tyre itself is almost brand new (maybe 1000 miles on it?) so ideally I dont want to have to buy another one! Also, this post might be better in the tyres section so feel free to move it mods. Ta
  7. 700 and you're 21! That's pretty great I pay about 900, I'm 28 with 10 years no claims and 3 points on liscense. That was the best I could get too after a fair bit of shopping around. I think it's because of my LS6 postcode though and not being garaged. Up for renewal soon though so hopefully I can knock it down a bit!
  8. had me chuckling - def sounds legit
  9. Correct. Same setup as me http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight= Been happy with 'em so far
  10. It's a lot tricker than you'd think actually - trust me!
  11. Will this result in subsequent lower premiums for the over 25's?
  12. Presume I need to buy something to get it to work? There's some phone cradle thing in the centre console, but I haven`t reallyg iven it much thought
  13. Iphone has bluetooth - I'd be interested to know how to get ti working with the Zed though - is this standard on all models? I just use a headset?
  14. Haha that's the one I posted in the first post. Small world How much would you want for it, or do you want me to bid? Presume it'll be fine on an 04 model?
  15. Probably a long shot, but need a new rear wiper arm after the 'carwash incident' - anyone got one knocking around they want to shift? Seen this one one on ebay: http://tinyurl.com/d5pcrz Which is worth a punt if no one's got one. Presume one design fits all models of 350? Cheers
  16. You'd be amazed how many of these big agency ads are 'inspired'. This clip below for example had over 1.2 million hits on youtube before the cadbury's advert was made http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YxdlYFCp5 ... 115&page=1 co-incidence?
  17. Just received my 4x redstuff pads - Great price and fast service so another happy customer!
  18. I'll get the redstuff ones then 'redstuff £109 for front and rear off CS' What's CS short for?
  19. Thanks both. Have rung back and told them to leave it for now. I'll try and do them myself - about time I learnt a bit more about car maintenance! With regards best ones to get, I guess I drive 'normally' (if that can be classed a description ) no track days or anything, so guess I just need some good pads, but not necessarily ultra high performance. Would the ones you recommended fit the bill? Any clear winners? Thanks again A
  20. Hi guys, Car is currently getting it's P1 service and MOT Garage rang and said front pads were about 70% worn and rears could 'probably' do with replacing too. quoting 250 quid for all four (didn`t give me a brand) Would you lot bother? Is that expensive? Sounds it to me? Anyway, if anyone could give me some advice it'd be much appreciated. /noob
  21. Truely terrible news. Just want to echo the best wishes of everyone else, and wish Phil a full recovery.
