  1. Had a think about this and you should really follow the procedure for checking out the CPS before condemning them. The procedures are fairly straighforward to determine if they are faulty. The CPS works as follows: The camshaft position sensor senses the retraction with intake valve camshaft to identify a particular cylinder. The camshaft position sensor senses the piston position. When the crankshaft position sensor system becomes inoperative, the camshaft position sensor provides various controls of engine parts instead, utilizing timing of cylinder identification signals. The sensor consists of a permanent magnet and Hall IC. When engine is running, the high and low parts of the teeth cause the gap with the sensor to change. The changing gap causes the magnetic field near the sensor to change. Due to the changing magnetic field, the voltage from the sensor changes. Cheers, Alex
  2. Chains definately will not stretch....END OF..... If you require cam position sensors, then I have numerous spare ones. Let me know. Cheers, Alex.

  4. No, there are differences + you have the NATS issue.
  5. They are different. Also any ECU's from the correct model year would have to be checked for NATS compatibility and programmed to your key etc.
  6. This will be my last post on this thread. The advice that you are getting from this forum is all based upon members genuinely trying to help you solve your problem and save you big money, comments and advice should be accepted in the same spirit in which they are given and all the advice that I have personally provided is based upon personal 1st hand experience. Perhaps at the end of the day your ECU is dead and perhaps you will never know why and perhaps it may fail again in 6 months time due to an underlying issue or perhaps the new ECU will not fix the problem and it may be traced to a two penny fuse, and perhaps you may end up paying huge sums of money for parts that were not required and perhaps you will never know any different. I have just checked with Nissan U.K through a contact and I have been reliably informed that Nissan U.K have never sold a new ECU or supplied one under warranty in the past 3 years. Surely that tells you something. My cynicism is based upon lifes experiences. However, I wish you good luck and that you are reunited with your Zed in the not to distant future. Alex.
  7. I can not say anymore than what I and others have said in previous posts except.............. Get A Profesional 2nd Diagnoses................

  12. Never mind Lee I am sure that I can help Realplay350Z out if he drops me a pm Lee, give me a ring when you have a moment., you know what it is about.
  13. Spot on Trev. Once the new ecu is on it is on for good. Buyer beware, be very aware.
  14. I hope that you are not missing the point here as this is not a guarantee issue. As Colin has previously stated unless you are standing over the Technicians and watching them very carefully as they replace the ecu then you are not to know if it is faulty or not. And yes it does happen..........
  15. Where are you based Seasider ? Not discriminating here but if you are in Scotland then I would be prepared to come have a look and give you an informed diagnoses and maybe install a preowned ecu providing that it is a U.K. car. Alex.
  16. Good shout Colin. It wont be the first or the last time that an ecu has been replaced only to find that it did not effect a cure and on further investigation another fault was found. And DO NOT be fobbed off with " but Sir it is a process of elimination"
  17. Not quite sure which switch that you are referring to mate could you be more precise. Where is the fluid leak from. Anyway, I will most likely have all the bits that you will need to sort this issue. Alex.

  19. Mark, The OP is from Greece, not the U.K. but I see no reason why they would not ship there. Not sure how the duty works there tho. The importer would be well advised not to request for a write down on the commercial invoice value for these type of goods as that would invalidate any potential insurance claim for damage etc. Hope that you are enjoying your LEDs Xendric

  21. I have 1 set left mate, but I would hate for you to splash out if you really did not want a set of these wonderful led's. Therefore I can let you have a pre led tail lamp for nowt if you wish, but I really think that you should treat yourself and upgrade.
  22. Kit arrived today. Surprise, Surprise. All the parts are genuine Nissan . Install is very simple and straight forward. I will keep you posted on the reduction in coolant temperatures.
