Sounds like the pre-engaged starter is sticking in the on position for a few seconds. Disconnect battery, remove starter motor, free off, clean up and lubricate, refit starter motor and reconnect battery.

The roller type tb that you have is indeed race spec. Is it cable operated or fly by ? Alex.

Firstly to the forum. 13k for an 09 you have two chances of that, none and feck all. Have a look on the forum here as it is a great place to start and if you can't find what you are looking for then you will be sure to find plenty on Pistonheads. Alex.

2nd gear tend to be a bit tight and notchy when cold but should come good when the transmission oil heats up. The noise that you are hearing is probably idler gear but that is just a hypothesis.

Spark plugs can sometimes be tight but providing that you have a proper plug socket, extension and bar and you are handy with the tools then they should come loose albeit sometimes with a loud crack.

All. Thought you might be interested to know that following the UK Government's freedom of information act you can now get access to ALL speed camera offences registered in the last 12 months. Did you know that every time your car goes past a speed camera, even 1mph over the set limit, it is registered and put on a database? You only get a ticket if you are way over the limit or, (this is the bit that I didn't know) if you receive over 10 near misses, you will be classed as a seri al offender and get a ticket the next time you go just over the limit. This is why you hear of people being done for 34mph in a 30mph limit area, whilst others doing 39 do not.
