  1. I vastly prefer the new wheels, the old ones always looked very static to me. Basically I'd want the old car but with the new wheels, I think. I wonder why they didn't give the obligatory power increase though? Seems a very unusual thing to do, normally that's what sells the facelift version of cars.
  2. MR2 will be worth about £100 to the dealer as he'll want to shift it via auction, I wouldn't even bother asking personally. I'd be happy getting £500 off the price personally, if it's all as it should be.
  3. It could, or it could actually make things worse. There's a whole lot of ground there with the whole Nurodisney thing, and either someone needs to find a way to make that profitable which the previous tenants couldn't, or it has to be replaced and started again with something different. The latter requires a serious investment, and that's just not going to happen unless one of the sheiks fancies a new playtoy. As much as we'd love it all to be 24/7 touristfahrtens, those days are long gone. There will be significantly more test days from the manufacturers being booked which impacts on the number of days you and I can drive it, and if prices drop then more people will go and it'll just get busier and you'll get more closures from accidents, which will lead it getting busier etc. It's a vicious circle.
  4. Haggle in exactly the same way. If you're going to finance the car there may be more wiggle room in the price as they can get that back from the finance deal, but otherwise just haggle on the obvious. Of course, the car may be exactly as described and worth every penny of the £9K and therefore haggling isn't needed, that's rare though.
  5. And don't forget to declare them as a mod to your insurer, as if your car is written off you won't get the plate back.
  6. Speaking of plates, I just picked up one for the other half as a belated wedding gift. It reads DM04 JSM, which is our initials and the year we met. Doesn't need spacing, doesn't look daft, means something to the both of us. Job = carrot.
  7. Don't worry too much about doing anything exciting, half the fun comes from learning about what each custodian does in a day-to-day thing too
  8. I've got a temper orange bumper sitting here I could possibly help you out with. It does have a couple of marks on it, but it's in significantly better condition than that one is! Let me know, I'll shoot you some pics over if interested.
  9. What does Be Shot mean then? Genuine query, not picking at you

It doesn't have driving lights. It has DRLs. Must admit I preferred the original bumper too with the fangs, this new one looks a bit like generic bumper 101 to me. Vastly prefer the new wheels though, far more dynamic than the gen1 wheels.
  11. Tbh it's probably a bit different for us as there's only 7 of us altogether, and three of us are related too. I guess that makes things a bit easier, but the other guys are as much our friends as they are our employees and we all get stuck in together through the good & bad times. I guess our relaxed approach wouldn't work in a company of 250+ as you'd get stuck with the p*ss takers, but no-one here is like that at all. Wouldn't last long if they were!
  12. That would be amazing, do you need me to get any sizes for it?
  13. Best so far tbh. Ooh, also had to put the small print on that first page too, nothing major just covers my arse
  14. No fear, I've moved Rich to the bottom and you to the top for now, so you'll actually get him next week Zedabee is a bit clever, nice one. I was thinking along the lines of VeeKew myself (think about it) but decided it didn't really suit the little fella.
  15. I just did a little sick in my mouth
  16. Righty-o, first post now edited with a list of people who made it clear they wanted a go, anyone else wants adding then shout up. Rich, you happy being next or did you want to be moved to later on? He's here with me at work today, and he shall shortly be taking his first adventure...
  17. To be fair he's actually right, even a set of ditchfinders would be more useful in the snow than the RE070s, deeply tread they are not!
  18. I got the downtown bit, but couldn't work out how that related to the Saw Doctors. Is the postcode N17 generally referred to as downtown by the locals then? /not_a_Londoner
  19. Randon comparison of the week there Are you a Petula Clark fan then? Petula Clark? Now I'm really lost.
  20. Go by yourself, I can guarantee by the end of the weekend you'll have a bunch of new friends.
  21. This. I do it every time as a matter of course, and have done for years.
  22. Listening to this 'tune', I suspect there's a good reason for that.
  23. Is that a duct I see in the stepped nose on the RB8? Looks significantly different to the other stepped noses we've seen so far, and interesting to see they've not gone the way of McLaren.
