Going by the trip computer which i dont trust much ive had 35-36mpg on a long trip, round town though ive had as low as 11.9mpg.

Did you connect the blue/white 'G' wire to the blue remote wire on the headunit? And have you connected the black wire 'H' to an earth? i bet this is what you've missed.

What have you been offered trade in? I would never of got the money i did selling mine private.

From what ive seen the ioplay wont work with the bose system but should work fine with the standard radio. It works similar to a Parrot system by using its own amp to bypass your radio and power the speakers itself.

You could go for the iXA-W407BT and use the PXA-H100 processor which has 4v pre-outs. Before i upgraded and amped my speakers i used the H100 with my CDA-9886R and it made the Bose speakers sound great.

Wrong tree, the bose amp uses a low level input to work. Play safe and get a headunit with 4v pre-outs.

I tend to use both but set the amp levels just to be safe and then use the headunit for fine tuning. Does depending on the headunit though as some amps have better control, my JL 500.1 sub amp has loads of settings to control bass, loads more then the 300.2 and it gets confusing.

I had one brought for me ages ago. Used it for the first time the other day to polish the MR2. The car was very pink and is now a bright red again, i wouldnt go near the 350Z with it though. It can do more damage then good and there are a couple places on the edges where it started to cut through to the undercoat. Its hard work but unless you know what your doing with a machine i'd do it by hand.

My car loan was pretty big but the lender didnt seem to mind so much even though we only had a 10% deposit and have got a big mortgage. The downgrade was more about getting the monthly out goings down and with fuel,tax,insurance and maintenance i'll save a small fortune between now and moving in at the end of May. Would love another 350 but next on my wish list is a S2 Elise.

The dream only lasted 8 months, the 350Z has gone. I did plan on keeping the 350Z till after summer but with buying my first house i decided the extra money of downgrading now would come in handy. Its been fun and wish i had done more in the 350 but cars are no longer number one on the priority list. I'm back to using my mk1 mr2, and traded in the 350 for a 2007 Tigra Exclusiv 1.8i for the fiancee as she sold her Swift Sport for part of the house deposit. Will hopefully still see people around as i attend a few Jap shows during the year with imoc.

Looking at fitting this to our new car, are the 2 stripes one continuous loop or just 2 lines linked at the reverse light end with the connector?

Any decent Alpine headunit, fascia and loom with steering wheel controls cost around £60-70 leaving more then enough for the headunit.

If it doesnt have Brembos then its 99.9% an import.

The A7 isnt 2 channel its a monoblock amp. The sub you have is a single voice coil and therefore only 4ohm which isnt really suited to the A7. Vibe claim big numbers but they often dont sound it, just because it has a peak 3000w doesnt mean its a loud sub, if space was an issue then a JL 10" would of been better suited as these perform well in small sealed enclosures.

The space is a dual so should be a dual 4 and wired up to be 2ohm so you should already be getting 600w from the amp. Does it not say on the sub terminals what load it is?

Hard to tell, how big is the lip on the edge?
